What’s the best espresso machine that I can get for 300 or less?
I need a good espresso machine that isn’t extremely expensive. Also the frother needs to be perfect. I love making drinks other than lattes and cappuccinos so it has to be able to get my drink up to 195 degrees without a lot of fuss. Thanks. Also I would like to get it with a warranty.
I use a Rancilio Silvia ($700 new) and I wouldn’t go any lower. Even used they go for $500.
If you’re not willing to spend that and can’t get it used buy a Moka pot ($30-100). It’s the closest thing to real espresso. To froth the milk, put it in a sauce pan or saucier in the freezer (needs to be real cold) for about 5 minutes. Put on stove & whisk on medium heat. You can use a thermometer or (like I do) stick your finger in to see how hot it is. I do this for larger groups since I couldn’t afford a double boiler espresso machine.
