Panasonic Lumix FZ100?
I currently have a FinePix s700 with the 10x zoom. My wife loves to go bird watching, so this zoom is a little low, but we have a 3 month old daughter that we want to take good inside pictures with. Is this a good upgrade or should I look at a different camera? thanks.
not many people necessarily think of panasonic as a camera company, such as the man before me. but honestly, this camera proves otherwise.
if birdwatching is your main use, you might as well go with something along the lines of the Nikon Coolpix L120.
but if you want a camera that can be used for such purposes as birdwatching, baby pictures, home videos, and general photography, the FZ100 is your absolute winner.
It dominates each and every one of these aspects, sadly overlooked due to it’s lack of brand prestige in the camera world.
you can purchase one for $399.99 on Amazon, which is where i would most highly suggest you do. and if you want even more zoom, there is a lens kit that includes a telephoto extension along with a wide angle lens, a lens cleaner, etc, for only $39.99.
