What compact Digital camera?
I am looking in to buying a new digital camera and am looking at a higher end point and shoot camera, like the Olympus XZ-1 or the Lumix DMC-LX5. I was looking at their specs and i noticed that they both have a smaller zoom and lower resolution (fewer mega pixels) than my sisters Lumix DMC-TZ8. i don’t understand why this is, i know that they are better cameras. Also i would like peoples opinion on which camera is better?! Thanks
megapixels don’t matter. you will see that the higher end point and shoots have 10-12mp max. If you have too many megapixels they can crowd the sensor and degrade image quality.
between the olympus and lumix, I’d go with the lumix. Also look at the Canon S95 which is in your price range
